| If you pick a point anywhere outside the circle (point F for example) and choose a point G that's on the circle and pull a line through FG so that FG doesn't touch the circle twice, and a point H and pull a line FH so that doesn't touch the circle twice, then there will be an angle gamma that is similar to angle beta. | k i think u understood it in the wrong way ... firstly, point 'a' is taken always outside the circle so it will always have 2 tangents ... simple hint : you need to find the equation of the new circle i drew ... the equation shuld be dependent only from its radius and angle beta | |

| algebra ... you can solve it with calculus if u want but there is no need ... its a mix of algebra and geometry | |
